4. Lubricate the cylinder barrel with oil, and carefully
insert the complete piston rod assembly into the
barrel, using caution not to damage the seals on
the retaining ring groove. Push the cylinder head,
1, into the cylinder barrel far enough to expose the
retaining ring groove, and install retaining ring, 2.
Pull the piston rod outwards to seat the cylinder
head against the retaining ring.
5. Reattach the cylinder rod to the lift links by
positioning it between the links. Install the lift stop
channel over the cylinder rod, and install the
shoulder pin and cotter pin.
6. Ensure the cylinder head is firmly seated against
the retaining ring. Install setscrew, 1.
