      Several factors can cause the calibration to fail. Verify all sensors are free to move through their full range during calibration. Also, check that the header is properly connected and that sensors swing through a similar range during Insight calibration and combine calibration. If the Insight box detected an error, repair it and clear the error codes on Insight. Finally, ensure the combine recognizes the header by fully lowering the feeder house.

      Several factors can cause this issue. First, the wiring might not be properly connected, or calibration hasn't been completed; refer to the Installation/Calibration section of the manual. Second, header control may not be enabled with cab controls; consult the Operation section for enabling instructions. Third, Insight settings or calibration could be incorrect; ensure the proper combine and header type are selected. Fourth, the power supply from the combine may be less than 11V to Insight; measure the power supply voltage with the key on. Fifth, the Insight box may need to be reset; redo “Perform Calibration” on the Insight box. Lastly, there could be an Insight box/wiring failure.

      The screen contrast might be improperly adjusted; check the Insight Settings. There could be a weak power supply to the Insight™ box; measure the supply voltage with Insight connected, as some combines do not maintain enough power under electrical load. Another reason may be a short in sensors powered by the Insight box; individually disconnect sensors to isolate the problem – the screen will regain contrast when the faulty sensor is disconnected.

      First, verify the combine display has a header icon with a wavy line under the header, not a straight line (Flagship combines only); see the Operation manual section. Next, verify the wiring is connected correctly by reading sensor input values to combine at the sensor diagnostics area of the combine screen. Finally, there may be a combine software problem; have a CIH technician update the combine header control software.

      The power wire may need to be in pin 31 of connector Y311 for Headsight systems made before 2008; move the headsight combine power wire from pin 29 to pin 31. Also, measure the voltage across pin 4 (power) and pin 6 (ground) of y101 on the Insight box.
