General Specifications
Bearcat & Cougar 1000 Series Tractors
Tire Inflation
Tires should be inflated according to size, ground
conditions, ballast and other variable conditions.
Check the tire pressure cold with an accurate tire
gauge having 1 psi (O.OT bar) graduations. If tires
contaiil liquid ballast, position the valve stem at the
bottom and use a special air-water gauge.
WARNING: Use safety cage or chain,
clip on chuck, extension hose, wear
eye protection and stand away from
the tire while inflating to prevent the
possibility of personal injury due to
blowoffs, etc.

NOTE 1: The weight indicated is the maximum
ballasted tractor weight with
a 60% front and 40%
rear static split.
NOTE 2: When two numbers appear, they represent
the inflation pressures of the inside main and
outside dual tires respectively.
NOTE 3: Tractor drive tires used in severe service, it
is permissable to increase inflation pressure up to 4
psi (28 Kpa) above that shown in the "Maximum
PSI" table with no increase in tire load.

IMPORTANT: When installing front frame mounted
equipment or liquid tanks, remove all ballast from
front axle tires. No dual tires listed in chart have
sufficient capacity to be run
as singles at the
maximum weight.
