First, ensure the AC adapter is correctly attached, the batteries are properly inserted (+/-), and they aren't dead. Next, check that the POWER/MODE switch is set to the NORMAL position. Also, the volume might be too low, so increase it using the MAIN VOLUME button. Finally, confirm that the POWER/MODE switch isn't accidentally set to CASIO CHORD or FINGERED; if it is, switch it to NORMAL.
