22A SWITCH-MODE BATTERY CHARGER FOR LITHIUM BATTERIES
GENERAL INFORMATION
The CB5 switch-mode battery charger has 22-LT
been expressly designed for the caravanning and
boating sector and can automatically charge 12V
lithium . batteries
T he battery charger is protected against
overtemperature and the 12V outputs are
protected against short circuit and polarity inversion.
The high frequency switching technology allows
high performances with small dimensions and
limited weight.
4 phase automatic charging system
Phase : Bulk -1 battery charging with maximum
current until the end- charge voltage is of-
reached.
Note: the end- charge voltage is of-
reached only if the battery is efficient.
Phase : Absorption 2 - battery charging at costant
end-of-charge voltage for a maximum time
of 1h (or 30 minutes with I<5A).
Phase : Float 3 - Maintenance charg at constant ing a
13,5V 240voltage for a maximum time of
hours. igh If a h load lowers the battery
voltage under 12,7V, the phase Bulk
start again.s
Phase : Refresh 4 - The battery is charged at 14,5V
for a maximum time of 30 minutes (or until
I<5A). Once completed, the charging
starts again from the phase.Float
