Pressthe°F/°Cbuttontoselecttemperature
readinginFahrenheitorCelsius.
C. Data-Hold
BeforewithdrawingtheQ2-450Xfromthefood,
presstheHOLDbutton.Thiswill“hold”the
readinguntilpressedagain.HOLDappearsinthe
upperrightcornerofthedisplay.
D. Max Mode
MaxModeisalwaysworkingbehindthescenes,

Install LR44 Battery

Install one LR44 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.

Replace Battery Cover

Replace the battery cover after installing the battery.

Operating Instructions

Temperature Measurement

Press ON/OFF to turn on and off. Auto-off activates after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Temperature Scale Selection

Press the °F/°C button to select Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature readings.

Data-Hold Function

Press HOLD before withdrawing to freeze the reading; 'HOLD' will appear on the display.

Max Mode Operation

Press MAX to display the highest temperature recorded. Returns to normal mode automatically.

Self-Calibration Procedure

Prepare Calibration Mixture

Place the stem into a mixture of 3 parts ice and 1 part water.

Initiate Calibration

Press the CAL button for 2 seconds. The display will be blank for 2 seconds.

Verify Calibration Result

Release CAL button; 32.0°F/0°C should appear to confirm calibration.
