Ironing tips
Always check rst whether a label with ironing instructions is attached to
the article. Follow these ironing instructions in any case.
The iron heats up quicker than it cools down, therefore, you should start
ironing the articles that require the lowest temperatures such as those
made of synthetic ber.
If the fabric consists of various kinds of bers, you must always select the
lowest ironing temperature to iron the composition of those bers.
Silk and other fabrics that are likely to become shiny should be ironed on
their inner side.
Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one
direction with light pressure applied. Always keeps the iron moving at any
moment.
Pure wool fabrics (100% wool) may be ironed with the steam iron. Preferably
set temperature dial to the third position and use a dry cloth as a mat.
Never iron over zips or rivets in the cloth. This will damage the soleplate.
Warning: When ironing woolen fabrics, shining of the fabric may occur. In
this case, it is suggested to turn the article inside out and iron the reverse
side.
Setting Temperature Fabric
1 70ºC - 120ºC Acetate, elastane, polyamide, polypropylene
2 100ºC - 160ºC Cupro, polyester, silk
3 140ºC - 210ºC Triacetate, viscose, wool
Maximum 170ºC - 225ºC Cotton, ax
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning the device, disconnect it from the power outlet and let the
appliance cools down.
Wipe akes and any other deposits on the soleplate with a damp cloth or a
non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
Warning: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to scrape
the soleplate.
Clean the upper part of the device with a soft damp cloth. Wipe the water
drop on the unit base and the heatproof stand with a dry cloth.
If there is any fabric adhered to the soleplate, use a damp cloth with vinegar
to wipe o the soleplate.
