What to do if my Central Machinery bench drill press will not start?
    • C
      Craig FisherAug 1, 2025
If your Central Machinery Power Tool won't start, first ensure the cord is properly plugged in. Then, check if the outlet has power. If not, check the circuit breaker, ensuring the circuit's capacity matches the tool's requirements and has no other loads. If the tool has a thermal reset breaker, turn it off, let it cool, and press the reset button. If these steps don't work, internal damage or wear may be the cause, and you should have a technician service the tool.

Why is my Central Machinery bench drill press overheating?
    • M
      Margaret GreenAug 7, 2025
Your Central Machinery Power Tool may be overheating because you are forcing the machine to work too fast, so allow the machine to work at its own rate. Another reason may be that the accessory is dull or damaged, so keep cutting accessories sharp and replace them as needed. Also, check for blocked motor housing vents and, while wearing ANSI-approved safety goggles and a NIOSH-approved dust mask/respirator, blow dust out of the motor using compressed air. Finally, the motor might be strained by a long or small diameter extension cord, so eliminate its use. If an extension cord is needed, use one with the proper diameter for its length and load.

    • J
      John SmithAug 12, 2025
The performance of your Central Machinery Power Tool may decrease over time if the accessory is dull or damaged, so keep cutting accessories sharp and replace them as needed. Another reason may be that carbon brushes are worn or damaged, in which case you should have a qualified technician replace the brushes.

How to fix excessive noise or rattling in my Central Machinery bench drill press Power Tool?
    • M
      Marc BuchananAug 19, 2025
Excessive noise or rattling in your Central Machinery Power Tool may be due to internal damage or wear, such as with the carbon brushes or bearings, in which case you should have a technician service the tool. Another reason may be that the belt (if equipped) is too loose (slipping) or too tight (causing bearing damage), so properly tension the belt.

    Robin CampbellAug 26, 2025
Why is my Central Machinery bench drill press Power Tool operating slowly?
    • T
      taylorobrienAug 26, 2025
Your Central Machinery Power Tool may be operating slowly because the extension cord is too long or the wire size is too small, so eliminate the use of an extension cord. If an extension cord is needed, use one with the proper diameter for its length and load.
