Why is the refrigeration system not functioning properly in my Champion CRN25 Dehumidifier?

  If the refrigeration system in your Champion Dehumidifier isn't working correctly, start by checking the unit's power supply. If the compressor cycles on and off, ensure the disconnect switch is closed. An electrician should inspect the electrical connections if there's a power failure, a line disconnect switch is open, there are blown fuses, an open breaker, or faulty wiring and loose terminals. Also check the minimum and maximum temperature ranges. Clean the condenser and ensure free airflow, considering high or low ambient conditions, dirty or clogged condenser fins, obstructed airflow across the condenser, or a non-functioning fan motor or fan control switch.

  If you find water downstream of your Champion Dehumidifier, several issues could be the cause. Start by blowing out the system with dry air to remove any residual moisture in the pipelines. Check the valve positions to ensure the air bypass system is not open. Verify that the inlet and outlet connections are correctly connected. If temperatures around the downstream air lines have dropped below the dryer's dew point rating, insulate or heat trace those lines. Ensure there isn't excessive free moisture at the dryer inlet; if so, install a separator ahead of the dryer. Check the drain mechanism for clogs and replace it if it's inoperative.
