It could also be caused by freezing of moisture in the evaporator because the refrigeration system is improperly functioning. Another cause could be a clogged separator or an optional oil removal filter element; if this is the case, replace the filter element(s).

  The dew point indicator might be in the red area because the dryer is overloaded, resulting in a high air outlet temperature. It could also be that the refrigeration system is not functioning properly, resulting in a high air outlet temperature. Another possibility is that the temperature sensor is not properly attached, uninsulated, or malfunctioning; in this case, check the sensor bulb.

  If the refrigeration system in your Champion Dehumidifier isn't working correctly, start by checking the unit's power supply. If the compressor cycles on and off, ensure the disconnect switch is closed. An electrician should inspect the electrical connections if there's a power failure, a line disconnect switch is open, there are blown fuses, an open breaker, or faulty wiring and loose terminals. Also check the minimum and maximum temperature ranges. Clean the condenser and ensure free airflow, considering high or low ambient conditions, dirty or clogged condenser fins, obstructed airflow across the condenser, or a non-functioning fan motor or fan control switch.

  This can happen due to several reasons. It could be residual free moisture in the downstream pipelines, so try blowing out the system with dry air. The air bypass system might be open, so check the valve positions. Ensure that the inlet and outlet connections are correctly connected. If temperatures surrounding air lines downstream of the dryer have dropped below the dryer’s dew point rating, insulate or heat trace air lines exposed to low ambients or dry air to lower the dew point. If there's excessive free moisture at the dryer inlet, install a separator ahead of the dryer.
