4.1 Service intervals
The service intervals shown below have been established for
operation under normal working conditions. Where equipment is
operated under severe conditions (very dusty, extreme heat or cold,
etc.) affected items should be serviced more frequently.
Refer to the engine manufacturers manual for more information and
full details on servicing.
The lubricating oil change intervals listed in the table below are for
Classes CF, CE and CD lubricating oils of API classification with a
low-sulfur fuel in use.
Allow the lamps to cool down for 10 minutes before
lowering the tower or moving the machine.
Do NOT lower the mast before lowering the tower.
Before moving the machine, the tower must be
lowered and locked in place.
To avoid personal injury:
– Be sure to conduct daily checks, periodic
maintenance, refueling or cleaning on a level surface
with the engine shut off. Remove the key.
– Before allowing other people to use your engine,
explain how to operate the unit and have them read
this manual before operation.
– When cleaning any part, do not use gasoline but
regular cleanser.
– Always use proper tools, that are in good condition.
Make sure you understand how to use them, before
performing any service work.
– When installing, be sure to tighten all the bolts by
the specified torque.
– Do not put any tools on the battery. Battery
terminals may short out; this could lead to severe
burns or fire. Detach the battery from the engine
before maintenance.
– Do not touch the muffler or exhaust pipes while they
are hot; this could cause severe burns.
