10.1
Operating
ranges
A - Full load operation
with pure water
B - Full load operation
must be with glycol
C - Operation without
HPS
D - Partial load
operation (AUTO-
ADAPTIVE)
10.2 Condenser limits
IMPORTANT: To ensure that LW - LWP units operate correctly,
especially during the start-up phases, with a condenser cold
water loop, a device must be fitted to ensure a minimum
condenser fluid inlet temperature of 20°C is reached very
quickly (e.g. 3-way valve).
10.3 Evaporator limits
The curve shows the minimum and maximum allowable
temperature differences for pure water or glycol water according
to the evaporator fluid outlet temperature. Also check the
minimum and maximum temperature differences according
to the requisite minimum and maximum flow rates (see table,
section 10.4 Minimum/maximum water flow rates).

Tubular evaporator
Water outlet temperature (°C)
Δ T maximum
Δ T minimum
ΔT acceptable evaporator water
inlet/outlet difference (°C)
difference taken into account in the performance tables.
Example:
For water outlet: + 5°C (design Δt 5°C)
Minimum ΔT: 3.1°C Water temp.: 8.1 / 5°C
Maximum ΔT: 7.2°C Water temp.: 12.2 / 5°C
- An excessively low flow rate can be a fouling factor; an excessively high flow rate can cause erosion phenomena.
