The Cidoo V65 is a VIA wired and Bluetooth dual-mode aluminum mechanical keyboard, designed to be highly customizable and supporting VIA software for extensive configuration.

Function Description

The Cidoo V65 is a versatile keyboard offering both wired and wireless connectivity options. It supports VIA software, allowing users to remap keys, customize lighting effects, and configure multiple layers for enhanced functionality. The keyboard is designed to be a customizable input device, catering to users who prefer personalized layouts and features.

Usage Features

Connectivity: The V65 supports both wired (USB) and Bluetooth dual-mode connectivity. In Bluetooth mode, it can be paired with up to three devices simultaneously. To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, users can short press FN + Z, FN + X, or FN + C. To disconnect Bluetooth mode and prioritize USB wired mode, a short press of FN + SPACE is required when the USB cable is plugged in.

Default Hot Keys: The keyboard includes a variety of default hotkeys, activated by holding the FN key in combination with other keys.

LED Control:

• Brightness: FN + ↑ increases LED backlight brightness, while FN + ↓ decreases it.
• Speed: FN + ← decreases LED backlight speed, and FN + → increases it.
• Toggle On/Off: FN + | toggles the LED backlight on or off.
• Mode: FN + ] } toggles through different LED backlighting modes.
• Hue: FN + P increases LED hue, and FN + ;: decreases it.
• Saturation: FN + { [ increases LED saturation, and FN + '" decreases it.
• LED Test Mode: To enter LED test mode, long press FN and /? keys. All key LEDs will light up. Pressing any key (except arrow keys) will exit this mode.

Keyboard Reset: To reset the keyboard, long press "Space" + "Backspace" keys and then plug in the USB cable until the "FN" LED light turns on.

Media Keys: The keyboard offers media control through FN key combinations:

• FN + Q: Windows System
• FN + W: Mac System
• Fn + 1 to Fn + 0: F1 to F10
• Fn + -_: F11
• Fn + =+: F12
• Fn + Esc: `
• Shift + Esc: ~

Other Function Keys:

• 6 KRO/NKRO Toggle: Space + N toggles between 6-Key Rollover (6KRO) and N-Key Rollover (NKRO). The default state is 6KRO. This is activated by long pressing "Space" + "N" and then plugging in the USB cable.
• DFU Mode: To enter Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) mode, long press "Space" + "B" or FN + R_SHIFT + R, then plug in the USB cable until the FN LED flashes.
• L_Ctrl/Caps Exchange: To exchange the function of the Left Control and Caps Lock keys, long press "Space" and "L_Ctrl" or "CAPS", then plug in the USB cable.
• Backspace/| Exchange: To exchange the function of the Backspace and | keys, long press "Space" and "Backspace" or "|", then plug in the USB cable.

Bluetooth Pairing:

1. Ensure the keyboard is powered on (reverse direction from the USB port is ON).
2. Press and hold FN + Z, FN + X, or FN + C for 3-5 seconds. The Z/X/C keys will flash, indicating the keyboard is ready to connect.
3. Open Bluetooth settings on your device, scan for "CIDOO V65", and select it.
4. Once connected, the Z/X/C keys will stop flashing. Short press FN + Z, FN + X, or FN + C to switch between paired devices.

Layers: The Cidoo V65 is configured with 6 layers (0 to 5) by default, allowing each key to have multiple functions.

• Layer 0 (Windows/Mac): Activated when the keyboard is connected to a Windows or Mac system. For Mac, L Alt becomes L Option, L Win becomes Left Command, and R Alt becomes R Option.
• Layer 1: Activated when the keyboard's system toggle is switched to Windows or Mac and FN/MO(1) key is pressed. This layer includes functions like Deep Sleep, F1-F12, Win/Mac mode toggle, RGB controls (Hue+, Sat+, Mode, Toggle, Hue-, Sat-, Lamp, Bright+, Bright-, Speed), Bluetooth device switching (BT1, BT2, BT3), and Out USB mode.
• Layer 2: Activated when the keyboard's system toggle is switched to Windows or Mac and FN + R_Shift/MO(2) key is pressed. This layer includes a Reset function.
• Layer 3/4/5: These are blank layers for custom configuration.

Custom Configuration (VIA Software): The Cidoo V65 supports VIA firmware for key remapping. VIA is a software that allows users to configure their keyboard.

1. Download the latest VIA application from the provided GitHub link.
2. Download the CIDOO V65 JSON file from WWW.CIDOOO.COM and load it into the VIA software.
3. Once connected, VIA automatically detects the keyboard. Users can select a key on the top half of the VIA software and then choose the desired function from the bottom half to remap it.
4. The VIA software includes a key tester. When a programmed key is pressed, its background color will change to red, indicating it is working.
5. VIA software also provides various RGB lighting effects, allowing customization of brightness, speed, color, and effect.

Maintenance Features

Auto Sleep Mode: To conserve battery, the backlighting will turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity. To enter deep sleep mode under Bluetooth, long press FN + CAPS. The "CAPS" indicator will turn off, and Bluetooth will disconnect. Pressing FN + CAPS again or plugging in the USB cable will exit deep sleep mode, and the indicator will light on. Note: For energy saving, backlighting is off in Bluetooth mode unless connected via USB or after power restoration.

Battery Charging: The FN key will blink red repeatedly when the battery is low (below 3.5V). It turns green while charging and turns off once charging is complete.
