Why is there low or no chlorine residual in my CircuPool SJ pool?
    • A
      Anita BooneAug 20, 2025
If you observe low or no chlorine residual, cloudy water, or a green pool when using CircuPool Water Filtration Systems, the problem could stem from several factors. It may be due to insufficient chlorine output, which can be resolved by increasing the output level, especially with rising temperatures. Another cause could be insufficient run time; increase the run time to at least 1 hour per 10° ambient temperature. Heavy pool use, inclement weather, or organic matter might also be the cause, in which case you should activate SUPER CL MODE or chemically shock the pool. If the cell is dirty, clogged, or has excessive scaling or mineral build-up, remove the cell from plumbing, inspect and clean it. Finally, ensure the unit is active and the power is on.

What to do if my CircuPool SJ system will not turn on?
    • H
      Hayley BellAug 22, 2025
If your CircuPool Water Filtration System won't turn on and the Power LED is not lit, there are several possible causes. First, verify the settings on your pool timer or controls. It's possible the system has no input power or is connected to the incorrect voltage; have a professional test the power source and ensure the correct connection. Check if the power switch is set to 'Off' and turn it to 'On'. Also, check if the Fuse Reset has tripped and press the reset button on the bottom of the Control Module.

Why is the Power LED flashing and Service LED on in my CircuPool SJ Water Filtration Systems?
    • H
      Heather JonesAug 25, 2025
If the Power LED is flashing and the Service LED is on for your CircuPool Water Filtration System, it could be due to a few reasons. It could be that the salt level in the pool is low, so test the salinity and add salt if necessary (if it is less than 3500 ppm). The cell might be dirty or clogged, so you should clean it. Or, the water temperature could be low, so turn off the system until the water temperature is above 60°F. Insufficient water flow could also be the problem, so check the pump, filters, and valves for proper operation and make sure the sensor in the cell is clean and that the cell is completely full of water with no air bubbles present.

What to do if there's low chlorine after installing CircuPool SJ?
    • B
      Brian LewisAug 27, 2025
If you're experiencing low or no chlorine residual in your pool after a recent installation of CircuPool Water Filtration Systems, consider these potential causes. The water chemistry might not have been balanced before installation; in this case, contact a pool professional to ensure all chemicals are within range and chemically shock the pool if needed. Double-check all connections to ensure the system runs in sync with the circulation pump. Also, the system may be connected to the incorrect voltage; have a professional test the power source and ensure correct connection.

What to do if Power LED is flashing, Service LED is on, and I can't raise chlorine production in my CircuPool SJ?
    • M
      Mark BeckAug 28, 2025
If the Power LED is flashing, the Service LED is on, and you're unable to raise chlorine production with your CircuPool Water Filtration Systems, ensure there is no dirty or clogged cell, cold water, or low salt level. Then, activate SUPER CL mode, then hold down the (+) button until polarity lights flash. Check to see if Service LED stays on, or replace Electrolytic Cell.

Why is my CircuPool SJ leaking water?
    • R
      Robert DavidsonAug 30, 2025
If you notice a water leak with your CircuPool Water Filtration System, it could be due to several reasons. The keyed notch on the Cell head may not be fully aligned (or became unaligned); unscrew the cell, carefully align it, and hold the Cell cable in place while screwing the Cell head's cap hand-tight. Another cause could be an O-Ring improperly seated; clean the O-Ring and its channel, ensure no lubricants have been added, and fully seat the O-Ring in its channel before inserting the Cell. The Cell Cap might also be cross-threaded; unscrew the Cell Cap, inspect threads for damage, and ensure that it screws back on without resistance.

Why does my CircuPool Water Filtration Systems cell frequently have mineral buildup?
    • C
      cynthia02Sep 1, 2025
If your CircuPool Water Filtration Systems cell frequently has mineral buildup, this is due to imbalanced water chemistry. Ensure that your Saturation Index is at or near zero to avoid damage or premature cell failure.

Why does my CircuPool SJ Water Filtration Systems cell never have mineral buildup?
    • K
      Kelly BarronSep 2, 2025
If your CircuPool Water Filtration Systems cell never or rarely has mineral buildup, the water may be corrosive due to imbalanced water chemistry. Ensure that your Saturation Index is at or near zero, in order to avoid damage or premature cell failure.

How to fix low chlorine in CircuPool SJ Water Filtration Systems?
    • M
      markbarreraSep 4, 2025
If you observe low or no chlorine residual in your CircuPool Water Filtration System, start by increasing the output level, as this is often needed when temperatures rise. If the water is cloudy or the pool is green, increase the system's run time to at least one hour per 10° of ambient temperature and ensure the filter turnover is 1.5 to 2 times. For heavy pool use or bad weather, activate Super CL mode or chemically shock the pool. Also, inspect and clean the cell to remove any scaling or mineral build-up. Lastly, check the flow switch and ensure there's sufficient water flow.

Why is the Salt LED red on my CircuPool Water Filtration Systems?
    • B
      Brian PerezSep 6, 2025
If the Salt LED or Cell LED is red on your CircuPool Water Filtration System, the salinity might be out of range. Manually verify the salinity. The electrolytic cell may also need cleaning to remove mineral scaling. Inspect and clean the cell if it's dirty or clogged with debris. Ensure the cell connection is firm by removing and reseating the cord plug. Inadequate water flow or a pocket occurring in the cell, or a damaged or worn cell may also be the cause.
