Trap Variable Data and Alarm Discriminators
All Cisco ONS 15454 (formerly Cerent) traps contain the Trap Varbind data
in Table 4
. Alarms generated by Cisco ONS 15454 traps are discriminated
by each of the 5 traps shown as an Alarm Discriminator
in Table 4. This
means that when successive Cisco ONS 15454 traps of the same type are
received by SPECTRUM with the same discriminators as the initial trap, no
new alarms will be generated for those traps. Additionally, alarms will be
cleared when both of the following conditions are met:
• Trap Varbind Alarm Severity (cerent454AlarmState)
is equal to cleared
and
• The potentially alarm-clearing trap contains the same Alarm
Discriminator (Table 4) varbinds as the initial trap that set the alarm.
