ASTRA HLD Spills / First Aid Measures
The OSHA Hazardous Materials Plan requires that a spill containment response team be created and recommends keeping a spill kit close to

HLD Spills
NOTE: Refer to HLD manufacturer’s MSDS and facility protocols for procedures to follow in the event of an HLD release or exposure.
• Ensure Proper PPE, including gloves and eye/face protection is in use.
• Ventilate area, neutralize and absorb spill with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand)
• Collect all waste in suitable and labelled containers and dispose according to legal regulations.
1. Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes.
2. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do so.
3. Continue rinsing and obtain medical attention if irrigation persists
1. Flush skin with water for at least 15 minutes.
2. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.
1. Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
2. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.
3. Seek medical attention immediately.
