6. OPERATION
Basic Operations
Note: Be sure to read this chapter referring to the front diagrams of
_ chapter “2. CONTROLS” on page 3 (spread): _
When this unit is turned on, starting and
stopping the engine of a car with its volume
raised to the maximum level may harm your
hearings.
Be careful about adjusting the volume.
NOTE: Use this unit after starting the engine.
ACC or engine
ON position
3) Adjust the volume by rotating the VOL
Control knob @8.
® Volume up:
Rotate the knob clockwise.
@ Volume down:
Rotate the knob counterclockwise.
Turning on the power and adjusting
the volume
NOTE: Before turning on the power of this unit,
turn on the power of other connected
equipment (amplifier, graphic equalizer,
etc.).
1) Rotate the Power switch U§ clockwise until a
click is heard. The power is turned on.
Power ON
• ON/WLpilieW.
* A mode when the power was turned off last is
set.
2) Press the FUNC button gsj to select the oper¬
ation mode.
«•* The mode switches in the following order
each time the FUNC button BU is pressed:
*The mode can be switched even while a CD in
the CD insertion slot or in the CD changer is
played.
Notes:
• If the CD changer is not connected, CD changer
mode cannot be selected.
• If no CD is loaded in the magazine during CD
changer mode, “DISC” flashes in the display.

Turning off the power
Rotate the Power switch 111 counterclockwise
until a click is heard.
*The power can be turned off when a CD is being
played.
Adjusting bass and treble
Before the adjustment, press the BASSTTREB
Control knob 0 to make it come up.
* Press this knob again to push it back to the origi¬
nal position.

Bass Treble
Bass adjustment
Rotate the BASS/TREB Control knob 0 to
adjust BASS.
® Bass increases:
By rotating this knob clockwise from the mid¬
dle position (click point).
(D Bass decreases:
By rotating this knob counterclockwise from the
middle position (click point).
* Push the knob back after adjustment.
