5. If your truck is L.P. gas
powered, you should now
check your fuel level.
The gauge is located at the
end of the tank and will in-
dicate the percentage of
fuel remaining.
Tank should contain
enough fuel to complete
your scheduled work shift.
Refer to page 32 of this
manual for tank changing
procedures.

6. Slowly turn fuel shut-off
valve counterclockwise to
open.
If this valve is opened too
quickly, an automatic check
valve will close. When this
occurs it will be necessary
to close the shut-off, wait
several minutes and then
slowly reopen the valve.

7. Check condition of over-
head guard and load back-
rest extension.
Make certain that they are
undamaged, properly posi-
tioned and mounted secure-
ly.
