of
travel
is
selected with
the
direction control lever.

FORWARD
-
NEUTRAL
-
REVERSE
NOTICE
- For
safety, always bring
truck
to a
complete stop before
shifting
to
opposite direction.
HR500/HR600
direction control
lever
is
held
positively
in
each
position
by
spring detents
in the
transmission
control cover. Control lever position
may
be
checked
by
looking
through
the
hole
in top of
quadrant housing
TA18
direction control lever
is
held
positively
in
each
position
by
spring
detents
in the
lever assembly.
Direction
of
travel
may be
noted
by
visual check
of
lever position.
Some models have
a
speed control
lever.
It is
used
to
select
(1)
low or (2)
high speed
for
applications
where
a
greater range
of
performance
is
required.
(1) low
range will give
you
slower
travel speed
and
more power
for
climbing
grades
or
slow
maneuvering, than
(2)
high speed.

Before
Operation
How To
Perform
The
Daily
Inspection
Check
the
hydraulic sump tank fluid
level.
Also, check
the
sump fill
cap/breather
for
contamination
and
damage.
When
you
know that
all of the
com-
ponents
within
the
engine compart-
ment
are in
satisfactory condition,
lower
the
seat deck
and
close
the
side
doors.

make sure that
all
controls
and
systems
are
functioning correctly.
If
you
are
unfamiliar with
the
function

control

system, please refer

Your
Lift
Truck.
Press
the
horn button
to
check horn
function.
If the
horn does
not
operate,
report
the
failure
and
have
it
repaired
before
the
truck
is put
into operation.
