11.3 Calibration
The thermometer is calibrated at the factory and if it is used in accordance
with this instruction manual and with normal care and attention it should not
need to be recalibrated. Contact the manufacturer if you suspect that it is not
working properly.
N.B. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the thermometer yourself.

Are the batteries low or
incorrectly aligned?
Replace or turn batteries.

Are the batteries low? Change the batteries.
“Lo” is shown on

32ºC (89.6 ºF).
Is the thermometer
placed correctly on the
forehead or in the ear?
Read the instruction manual
again and make sure that you
follow the instructions.
“Hi” is shown on
the display above
42.9 ºC (109.3 ºF).
Make sure that you are
using the thermometer
correctly.
Read the instruction manual
again and make sure that you
follow the instructions.
Displays wrong
temperature.
Is the sensor dirty? Clean the sensor. See 11.1.
