Step 5
When sitting on the booster seat, the shoulder belt
MUST lie snug across the midpoint of the child’s
chest and across the GREEN zone, as shown in
Figure 24.
Step 6
Vehicle seat belts MUST fit snug and lay flat against the child and MUST not be loose or
twisted. A snug seat belt does not allow any slack. It lies in a relatively straight line without
sagging. DO NOT position any part of the vehicle seat belt over the top of the armrest or
behind the armrest, as shown in Figure 25.
