In the event a Clover device is tampered, the device will be operating in a non-P2PE validated
mode.
When the device is tampered, a notification will be displayed:
A tampered device can be configured to temporarily accept MSR payments using an
authenticated message sent from the Clover server. The version displayed by such a device
will change to indicate disablement of SRED (Clover Flex shown):
