User enters their password on the Clover Flex device to log in.
Locate and open the SecureTablePay application from the Clover Flex home screen.
On the main STP app screen, press 'enter' to proceed.
Input your server number, matching your point of sale system identifier.
Enter table number or press 'okay' to view open tables and checks.
Choose a check to close out if a table has multiple, or combine tickets in POS.
Verify check, table, and total on the split calculator screen.
Hand device to guest to enter tip via presets or custom amount.
Guest reviews and confirms the final total including the tip.
Guest is prompted to use preferred payment: insert, tap, or swipe.
After payment, guests choose receipt type. Handle failures by restarting.
Successful payment returns to home screen or check selection for multiple checks.
Select 'pay full' to proceed to the tip calculator screen for payment.
Split the check equally by dollar amount, choosing up to 10 ways.
Split the check by entering custom dollar amounts for each portion.
Process partial payments, returning to split calculator for remaining balances. Note POS config.
From Clover home screen, open 'Transactions' app to initiate refund. Manager access may be needed.
Within transactions app, find and select the specific transaction for refund.
Double-check transaction details before proceeding. Refund processing is irreversible.
Confirm refund. Note: Flex refunds don't auto-reconcile with POS; manual reconciliation needed.
