Placeaclean,tray-typecontainerbelowthecaliperandbrakehoseassemblytocatchbrakeuidwhenthe
brakehoseandcaliperbodyareseparated.
4.Ifthecaliperwillbeusedagain,plugthebanjoboltholetopreventdirtanddebrisenteringthecaliper.
5.Placeaplasticbagoverthehosettingtopreventdirtanddebrisenteringthehose.
6.Removethetwosocket-headslide-pinbolts(7)securingthecaliper(2)toitsmountingbracket.
7.Pullthecaliper(2)offthemountingbracketandremovethepads.

1.Placeandholdthebrakepadsinthecaliper(2)andinstallthecaliperontoitsmountingbracket.Seefollowing

NOTE:Tohelppreventnoise,asilicone-basedbrakelubricantmaybeappliedtothesurfaces(onthebacksideof
thebrakepads)thatcontactthecaliper.Athinlmmayalsobeappliedtotheslide-pins.Alwaysfollow
lubricantmanufacturer’sdirections.
WARNING
•Toreducethepossibilityofdiminishedbrakeperformanceorfailure,neverusepetroleum-based
lubricantsonbrakesystemcomponents,andensurelubricantdoesnotcontactfrictionsurfacesof
brakepadsorrotors.
2.Insertthesocket-headslide-pinbolts(7)throughthecaliper(2),mountingbracketandbrakepads.Threadthe
slide-pinboltsintothemountingbracketandtightento32ft-lb(43N·m).
