General safety instructions

Warning! When using this tool all basic safety precautions must be followed to avoid the risk of
re,electricshockandpersonalinjury.Readtheseinstructioncarefullybeforeusingtheprod-
uct and keep them for future reference.
1. Keep the working area tidy.
Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents.
2. Take stock of your working environment.
Do not expose the tool to rain. Do not use the tool in moist or wet areas. Keep the working
areawelllit.Neveroperatethetoolnearammableliquidorgas.
3. Avoid electric shocks.
Avoidbodycontactwithearthedobjects,suchaspipes,radiators,ovensorrefrigerators.
4. Keep other people at a safe distance.
Donotallowanyonenotinvolvedintheworkprocesstotouchthetooloritselectriccable,
especially children. Keep all bystanders at a distance.
5. Store the tool in a safe place.
Whenyourtoolsarenotinuse,keeptheminalocked,dryarea,awayfromchildren.
6. Do not overload the tool.
Correct feed rate makes the work better and safer.
7. Use the correct tool for the job.
Donottrytousesmalltoolstoperformjobsrequiringmorepowerfultools.Donotuseatool
forapurposeforwhichitwasnotdesigned,e.g.usingacircularsawforloppingbranches
off trees.
8. Wear suitable clothing.
Donotwearloose-ttingclothingorjewellery,theycouldgetcaughtitmovingparts.
Non-slip shoes are recommended for outdoor work. Wear a hairnet or similar if you have
long hair.
9. Always use safetywear.
Wearsafetyglasses.Useafacemaskordustlterwhenworkingindustyenvironments.
10. Use dust extractors.
Ifthetoolisequippedwithorconnectedtoadustextractor/collector,makesurethatitis
turned on and used correctly.
11. Do not misuse the lead.
Donotjerkthelead,griptheplugitselfwhendisconnectingthepower.Makesurethatthe
mainsleaddoesnotcomeintocontactwithheat,oil,orsharpedges.
12. Clamp the workpiece down tightly.
If possible use vices or clamps to hold the workpiece in place. This is much safer than
holding the workpiece in one hand.
