INTRODUCTION
ThankyouforpurchasingthisdesktopCO2
monitor.Itmeasurescarbondioxidelevels,air
temperatureandhumidity.Thismakesitidealfor
indoorairquality(IAQ)diagnosisandHVACsystem
performanceverification.
Poorindoorairqualityisconsideredunhealthy.It
canleadtodrowsiness,inabilitytoconcentrate,
andevenillness
(forexample,SickBuilding
Syndrome).
IAQmonitoringofCO2levelsiswidelyusedin
publicareassuchasoffices,classrooms,factories,
hospitalsandhotels.Itisalsorecommendedfor
industrialhygieneinsomecountries.(See
appendix).

currentCO2levelinppm,airqualitylevel,air
temperature,humidity,andthecurrentdateand
time(Fig.1).
TAKINGMEASUREMENTS
Themeterstartstakingmeasurements
immediatelyafteritisturnedonandupdatesthe
readingseverysecond.Intheevent
theoperating
environmentisquicklychanged(forexample,from
hightolowtemperature),itwilltake
approximately2minutesfortheCO2and
temperaturetoadjustand10minutesforhumidity
tostabilize.
NOTE:Donotholdthemeterclosetoyourfaceas
yourbreathwillaffecttheCO2level.
MIN/MAX
Whilethemeterispoweredon,pressthe
“MIN/MAX▼“buttontoseetheminimumand
maximumCO2level,temperature,andhumidityin
turn.Eachpressof“MIN/MAX▼“willdisplaythe
MINandMAXvaluesinorder,thenreturnthe
meter
tonormalmode(Fig.2).
Duringnormaloperationorwhileviewing
MIN/MAXlevels,pressandholdthe“RESET“key
formorethan1secondtoclearthestored
minimumandmaximumvalues.
HIGHCO2ALARM
ALARM
Themeterfeaturesanaudiblealarmthatwarns
theuserwhentheCO2concentrationexceedsthe
programmedlimit.Userscanset2limits:aCO2
levelthatrequiresventilation(SeeP1.

Duringhighalarm,themeteremitsan80dBbeep
anddisplaysthefaniconontheLCD.Thealarm
canbetemporarilystoppedbypressinganybutton,
oritwillautomaticallystopwhentheCO2level
fallsbelowthelowerlimit.
Ifthealarmis
temporarilysilenced,itwillresume
iftheCO2levelfallbelowthelowerlimitthenrises
abovetheupperlimitagain,orifthe
“RESET“buttonispressedtore‐activatethealarm.
