by law in 1949. The Class D two - way co m m u n i cat i o n s
s e rv i ce was opened in 1959.(CB also includes a Class A
c i t i zens band and Class C re m o te co nt rol fre q u e n c i e s. )

to another) rather than" bro a d cast" (to a wide audience ) .
