Retention options
Cochlear Earmould Adaptor
The Earmould Adaptor is an alternative retention option for
recipients who prefer it to an earhook. It stabilises and keeps the
sound processor on the ear.
Fitting tip
Be careful to push the earmould’s tubing rmly onto the
Earmould Adaptor.
Cochlear Koala Clip
The Koala Clip allows recipients to attach their sound processor to their clothing.
Fitting tip
ꞏ To reach their implant, recipients may need to use the
Cochlear Slimline™ Coil with the 25 cm cable.
ꞏ Push down on the top of the processing unit when
attaching the battery module, to ensure the metal tab on
the Koala Clip ts inside the processing unit case.
ꞏ Microphone position is important for sound quality!
Orient the sound processor so it faces the same way as
when it is worn on the ear.
ꞏ Make sure the microphones aren’t covered (e.g. by
clothing).
Note: When using telecoil, start with the sound processor upright.
Adjust its orientation a little if necessary to get the best
performance.
Programming instructions
The Koala Clip should support your recipient’s normal programs. However, if their hearing
performance deteriorates, try these solutions:
ꞏ Create custom MAPs that don’t use SCAN 2.
ꞏ Use xed directionality only (Standard or Zoom).
