3.10 Replacement of worn parts – slide rails
3.10.1 General Information
It is very important to assemble slide rails correctly to ensure smooth sys-
tem operation.
Follow the illustrated instructions on the following pages carefully. Ob-
serve the following points:
• Single-cut pliers are suit-
able tools for cutting the
slide rails.
• Use mounting tool for slide
rail, XLMR 140.
• Be careful not to damage
slide rail during assembly
• Use drill fixture 3920500.
The distance between an

mm
• Use a high quality drill bit to
avoid forming a shoulder,
preferably one which is in

tended for drilling alumini-
um.
•Use XLAH 4x6 rivets.
• After riveting the slide rail
clean out the system from
metal chips and other de

bris, prior to chain assem-
bly
