4. Seat recline:
a. Use only recline positions #2 or #3 when using car seat
forward-facing.
b. Seat positions can be adjusted between positions
#2 or #3 without unsecuring and resecuring car seat
(fig. a).
To change recline position, lift and hold recline lever
while moving into position #2 or #3. Release recline
lever to lock into desired recline position.

Section 15 - Forward-facing Use
• All children less than one year old and 20 lbs. (9 kg) MUST use this car seat rear-facing.
Serious crippling injury or death can result if infant faces front of vehicle.
• NEVER travel with seat facing the side. Seat MUST always be locked in the
forward-facing position.
• For proper harness fit:
- Shoulder harness straps MUST be through harness slots at or above child’s shoulders.
- Infant seat insert MUST be used for children less than 25 lbs. (11.4 kg) and whose
shoulders are at or below top harness slots.
- Discontinue use of the infant inserts when shoulder belts become too short to fit infant
or when forward-facing, child’s shoulders are above top harness slots.
- Use only the top or middle slots for forward-facing.
WARNING -
DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur
Forward-facing use for 20 to 40 lbs. (9 to 18 kg)
1. Infants MUST be at least one year old and 20 lbs. (9 kg) to be forward-facing.
2. Harness straps MUST be in middle or top harness slots and at or above child’s shoulders.

3. Remove recline adjustment pad or any other padding from under base.
