Replacing a Battery

Read all the manufacturer’s documentation for the new battery.

Close all programs.

Remove all diskettes and CDs.

From the Windows Taskbar, click the
Start
button, select
Shut Down
, and
then click
OK
.
30.
Unplug the computer power cord from the electrical outlet.
31.
Disconnect all cables and power cords from the back of the computer.
32.
Remove the computer cover.
33.
Using the system board graphic, locate the memory module slots.
34.
To remove the battery, push in the direction of arrow
1
then lift the battery out
as shown by arrow
