Overview

The Comprehensive CHE-HDBT200 is an HDMI 18Gbps Extender designed to extend high-definition video and audio signals, along with one-way IR, over a single Cat5e/6 cable. This extender system allows for signal transmission up to 164 feet (50 meters) and supports resolutions up to 4K2K@60Hz 4:4:4, with 18Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.2 compliance. It is also compatible with HDCP 1.4 and DVI 1.0.

Function Description:

The CHE-HDBT200 system consists of two main units: a transmitter and a receiver.

  • Transmitter Unit:

    • Captures the HDMI input signal from a source device (e.g., DVD player, PS4).
    • Transmits the HDMI signal over a single Cat6 cable to the receiver.
    • Features an HDMI loop output port, allowing connection to a local display device (TV or projector) for monitoring or simultaneous viewing.
    • Emits IR control signals received from the receiver unit via its IR OUT port, enabling control of the source device from the remote display location.
    • Includes a SERVICE port (Micro USB) for firmware updates.
    • Equipped with a CAT OUT port for connecting to the receiver's CAT IN port.
    • Has a DC 12V power input for power supply.
  • Receiver Unit:

    • Receives the HDMI signal from the transmitter unit via the Cat6 cable.
    • Transmits IR control signals received from a remote control via its IR IN port back to the transmitter.
    • Features an HDMI output port for connecting to a remote display device (TV or projector).
    • Includes a SERVICE port (Micro USB) for firmware updates.
    • Equipped with a CAT IN port for connecting to the transmitter's CAT OUT port.
    • Has a DC 12V power input for power supply.

Usage Features:

  • Extended Transmission Distance: Extends 4K60Hz signals up to 164ft (50M) over Cat5e/6. For 4K30Hz/1080P, it can extend up to 164ft (50M) over Cat5e and 230ft (70M) over Cat6/6a/7. Local HDMI IN/OUT connections support up to 10ft (3M) for 4K60Hz and 30ft (10M) for 4K30Hz/1080P.
  • One-Way IR Pass-Through: Allows for convenient control of the HDMI source device from the remote display location using its original remote control. The IR Receiver cable connects to the receiver's IR IN port, and the IR Blaster cable connects to the transmitter's IR OUT port, directing the signal to the source device.
  • HDMI Loop Output: The transmitter unit provides an HDMI loop output, enabling a local display to be connected simultaneously with the remote display.
  • PoC (Power over Cable) Function: This feature simplifies installation by allowing either the transmitter or the receiver to be powered by the included 12V/1A power adapter, with the other unit receiving power over the Cat6 cable. This eliminates the need for a power outlet at both ends.
  • Automatic EDID Copy Function: Automatically copies the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) to ensure optimal display settings.
  • HDR Function Support: Supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) for enhanced contrast and color.
  • Compact Design: The units feature a compact design, making them suitable for easy and flexible installation in various environments.
  • Status Indicators: Both the transmitter and receiver units have LED indicators:
    • Power Indicator Lamp (Green): Illuminates when the unit is powered on.
    • Data Signal Indicator Lamp (Orange): Illuminates when there is signal transmission between the transmitter and receiver.
  • Recommended Cable Usage: The use of "Premium High Speed HDMI" cable is highly recommended for optimal performance.
