DMX mode (models I-380 and I-580X only)
In addition to remote control operation, the models I-380 and I-580X can also be
controlled via an external DMX controller.
Connection
Only connect the device to a DMX controller with DMX-512 protocol.
Connect the connection DMX INPUT with the output of the DMX controller. Use a
screened XLR cable.
Connect DMX OUT with the DMX input of the following device.
If the fog machine is the last or only device in the DMX chain, plug in a plug with
terminators here.
As soon as the device detects a DMX controller, the green LED on the back next
to the DIP switches lights up.
Setting the DMX channel
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires an assigned DMX channel to be clearly
identified by the controller.
This DMX channel is defined by the DIP switches on the back of the device. Each DIP
switch is assigned a value. The total of the assigned values define the assigned DMX
channel.
Please refer to the table below for the values of the individual DIP switches. Position
ON indicates that the switch is activated, OFF that it is deactivated.
