m When Using “SAF” (Single Auto Focus)
Mode:
When the shutter release is depressed halfway,
focusing is performed automatically, and focus is
locked as soon as focus is achieved.
e in the continuous shooting (CL/CH) modes, the
focus is locked at the time of the first picture;
subsequent pictures are made at the same lens
focus setting.
e If a shifting or unstable subject makes it
impossible for the camera to establish focus
lock, the “5% ” mark will blink
on the viewfinder’s focusing
indicator to indicate that focus
cannot be locked. In this
condition, the shutter release will not operate.
To photograph under this kind of condition,
establish focus lock by focusing on another
subject at the same distance as the original
subject (see page 96), then take the original
picture.
@ For shutter-priority photography regardless of
focus, press the shutter while holding the
focus-lock button depressed. In this way, the
shutter will operate, regardless of whether
focus has been locked.

m Bei Schärfenpriorität (SAF):
Die Scharfeinstellung erfolgt beim Antippen des
Auslösers. Sie wird unmittelbar danach
gespeichert.
e In “CL” wird die Belichtung bei jeder Aufnahme
neu eingestellt; in “CH” wird die für die erste
Aufnahme gespeicherte Belichtung verwendet.
e ¡st der Kamera keine Scharfeinstellung möglich,
blinkt " <% ” im Schärfenindikator im Sucher,
und der Auslöser bleibt gesperrt. Nehmen Sie in
diesem Fall eine Ersatzmessung auf ein
anderes Objekt in gleicher
Entfernung vor (siehe Seite 97),
schwenken Sie mit angetipptem
Auslöser auf den gewünschten
Ausschnitt, und lösen Sie aus.
@ Für Aufnahmen mit Auslösepriorität drücken Sie
den Auslöser unter gleichzeitigem Druck auf die
Schärfenspeichertaste. Dann ist Auslösung
ungeachtet des Schärfenstatus möglich.
