Exposure
compensation
is
used
when
there
is
a
great
difference
in
brightness
between
subject
and
background
or
for
deiiberate
over-
or
underexposure.
Exposure
compensation
can
be
set
in
1/3
EV
steps,
in
the
range
of
+2EV
to
-2EV.
When
exposure
compensation
has
been
set,
the
±
indicator
appears
in
the
viewfinder.

With
camera
ON,
press
the
mode
button
once
so
exposure
compensa¬
tion
mode
appears
on
the
display
panel.
O
Turn
the
mode
dial
to
select
the
desired
exposure
compensation
value.
O
Press
the
shutter
release
button
to
make
the
photograph.
The
exposure
compensation
mode
is
canceled
after
each
photograph
is
taken.
To
cancel
an
exposure
compensation
setting
without
taking
a
photograph,
repeat
steps
1-2,
but
set
the
dial
to
“0.0”
Eight
seconds
after
setting
an
exposure
compensation
value,
the
display
panel
will
return
to
its
normal
mode,
with
the
addition
of
the
13
or
B
indicator.
It
is
possible
to
keep
the
exposure
compensation
setting
for
more
than
one
shot
(p,
47).

change

1/2
EV
steps

of
1/3
steps
