Converting Recipes
Please note that cooking times are a guide only
Many of your favourite recipes can be adapted to the Slow Cooker. Use the following
information as a rough guide.
If recipe says to cook: Cook on LOW “B” Cook on HIGH “D”
30 minutes 6-8 hours 3-4 hours
35-60 minutes 8-10 hours 5-6 hours
1 - 3 hours 10-12 hours 7-8 hours
Cooking Guidelines
Most meat and vegetable combinations will need;
8-10 hours of cooking at the LOW “B” setting or,
4-6 hours at HIGH “D”
Avoid removing the Lid during cooking, as this will increase the cooking time due to
the temperature loss. Remove the Lid only when necessary e.g. for stirring or adding
ingredients.
After food is cooked, reduce the heat to LOW or turn the control to the WARM Setting,
this will keep your cooked food at a consistent temperature.
Switch o turning the User Control to OFF “Aand unplug the Power Cord &
Mains Plug from the mains after use and allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
Cleaning and Storage
We recommend that the Sear Slow Cooker is cleaned as soon as it has cooled down after
use to prevent the build-up of any residues. Proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the appliance from the Mains Supply and allow to cool down completely.
2. Remove the Sear Cooking Pot and Lid from the Body and wash them in hot soapy
water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
NOTE: If any residues do remain in the Sear Cooking Pot, add a little washing up
liquid, ll with hot water and leave to soak for a couple of hours or overnight.
