• DO NOT use metal kitchen tools or utensils in the Sear Cooking Pot. These may cause
irreparable damage to the non-stick surface.
• DO NOT put the non-stick Pot on the Hob for a prolonged period. This may cause if to
distort or crack.
• PLEASE NOTE: When searing using the Non- Sick Cooking Pot some slight distortion
such as bowing of the base may occur. This is normal due to the expansion of aluminium
and is not a cause for concern.
• ALWAYS use non-metallic long handled spoons or tongs when checking the progress of
the cooking.
• If the Slow Cooker requires re-lling in use, ALWAYS switch it OFF rst.
• NEVER add boiling water to the Slow Cooker when in use; hot water is OK for lling
or relling.
• NEVER cook meat, poultry or seafood from frozen. ALWAYS thaw completely rst.
• NEVER allow the Slow Cooker to run out of liquid, otherwise a hazard may occur.
• NEVER put the Slow Cooker Lid in the oven - it is designed to be used with the Slow
Cooker Base Unit only.
• Always wear protective, insulated oven gloves when removing the Lid or the Cooking
Pot from the Slow Cooker whilst operating.
• DO NOT move the Slow Cooker when in use as hot liquids may spill out causing burns.
• When the Cooking Pot has been used to sear ingredients DO NOT place it down on a
non-heat resistant surface as the bottom of the pot will be very hot.
• WARNING. The Sear Cooking Pot supplied with this appliance is not compatible
with Induction Hobs.
• WARNNG: No part of this appliance including the Sear Cooking Pot is dishwasher safe.
• Before placing your Cooking Pot into the Slow Cooker check that no foreign bodies
have fallen into the Outer Container (4). Cook only in the Cooking Pot (3) supplied.
• NEVER cook in the Inner Container. Risk of electrocution / re.
• The appliance must be used on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface.
• This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It should not be used for commercial
purposes.
• The temperature on the surface of this appliance is high during cooking and for some
time after it has been in use. Do not touch with bare hands.
• WARNING. Do not use this appliance in conjunction with an external timer or remote control.
• The rst time you use your Sear Slow Cooker there may be a slight odour, or a small
amount of smoke given o. This is normal and is just the manufacturing residues
burning o.
