Starting and Powering Off: To start the watch, users simply press and hold the Digital Dial for 2 seconds until the COROS logo appears. Turning off the watch involves navigating through the main watch face to System, then More Settings, and finally selecting Turn Off.
Restarting the Device: A full restart can be initiated by pressing and holding the Digital Dial for 15 seconds until the COROS logo reappears. Alternatively, users can turn off the watch via the menu (main watch face > System > More Settings > Turn Off) and then turn it back on.
Resetting the Watch: For a complete reset, users can go to the main watch face, then System, More Settings, and select Reset All. This feature is useful for troubleshooting or preparing the watch for a new user.

Auto Lock Feature: To prevent accidental button presses, the COROS VERTIX watch includes an Auto Lock feature. When a small lock icon appears on the watch face, the display is locked. There are two primary modes for unlocking:
Users can adjust the Auto Lock mode settings by navigating to main watch face > System > More Settings > Auto Lock. Here, they can choose between Standby Mode, Workout Mode, Scroll to Unlock, Hold to Unlock, or turn the feature OFF. Once activated, the display will automatically lock if it remains idle for 2 minutes in Standby mode or 10 seconds in Workout mode.

Charging: If the watch fails to turn on, it is recommended to charge it for over 2 hours. This ensures that the battery has sufficient power to initiate the device.
Charging Cable Removal: A crucial step in troubleshooting power issues is to remove the charging cable from the watch before attempting to restart it. This prevents potential conflicts or issues that might arise from the watch being connected to power during a restart attempt.
Troubleshooting Power Issues: If the watch still doesn't turn on after charging, pressing and holding the Digital Dial for over 15 seconds is advised. This extended press can force a restart and often resolves issues where the watch appears unresponsive.
Avoiding Inactive Mode: Users are cautioned against pressing both buttons on the COROS watch simultaneously. Doing so can cause the watch to enter "Inactive mode," where it will not respond to normal operations or charging. If the watch enters this mode, it is recommended to power off the watch (main watch face > System > More Settings > Turn Off) if planning to stop using it, to reset its state.
