This portable air conditioner offers a versatile solution for indoor climate control, designed for ease of use and maintenance. It is available in cooling-only and cooling & heating models, catering to different seasonal needs. The unit features a compact, streamlined appearance with a user-friendly design, including a remote control that can be conveniently stored on the right side of the handle at the back. The power cord structure at the back and a universal jack design further enhance protection for the cord. The elevated position of the outdoor connector facilitates convenient assembly and smooth airflow for the heat exhaust hose.
Function Description:
The air conditioner provides multiple functions to ensure comfort. Cooling-only models offer cooling, dry, air blowing, and sleep functions. Cooling & heating models additionally provide a heating function. The fan speed is adjustable between high and low settings, and the temperature can be set within a range of 60-86°F. The unit also includes various protection functions, such as a 24-hour timed ON/OFF setting.
Usage Features:
The control panel is intuitive, featuring indicators for Celsius and Fahrenheit degrees, a regular time indicator, and a double 8 display area. Buttons include POWER, Mode, Fan Speed, Timer, Up, and Down keys.
- POWER Key: Used to turn the unit on or off.
- Mode Key: Allows selection between Cooling, Dehumidifying, and Fan modes.
- Fan Speed: Adjusts fan speed between low and high in a circular manner. Note that this is not available in dehumidifying mode.
- Timer Key: Sets the Timer-Off function when the unit is working or the Timer-On function when the unit is off. The regular time indicator illuminates when the timer is set.
- Up/Down Keys: Adjust the desired room temperature (increments/decrements by 1°C or 1°F). These keys also set the time in Timer mode and can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit display by pressing them simultaneously.
In Cooling mode, users can select High or Low fan speed. The sleep function, activated by pressing the Timer and Down buttons, automatically increases the set temperature by 1°C (1°F) after two hours, and again after another two hours, maintaining the new setting.
In Dry mode, the compressor starts if the ambient temperature is 17°C (62°F) or higher and shuts down if it falls to 15°C (59°F) or lower, restarting when the temperature rises again. A 3-minute protection time is in place for compressor start/stop cycles.
In Fan mode, the fan motor operates without the compressor, and temperature setting is not applicable. Low fan speed is enforced.
The unit incorporates multiple protection functions:
- Anti-freeze protection: If the pipe temperature drops to 34°F or below for 20 continuous seconds during cooling, the compressor and water spraying motor turn off, and the LED displays E4. The unit enters anti-frost protection, making buttons inactive (except OFF). Once the pipe temperature rises to 46°F or above, protection is relieved, and the unit restores to its original status after a 3-minute delay.
- Full water protection: If water in the tray exceeds the alarm level, the unit alarms, and the full water indicator illuminates. The unit will automatically shut down after 5 beeps if not drained manually. Once drained, it restores to the previous operating status or can be turned on again.
- Delay protection of the compressor: A 3-minute delay start protection is active after the compressor shuts down, except for the first time the unit is energized.
Water Drainage Methods:
The unit offers both manual and continuous drainage options.
- Manual drain: When the unit indicates full water, turn off the power and unplug the unit. Carefully move the unit to avoid spilling water. Place a vessel below the water outlet, unscrew the drain cap, and unplug the water plug to allow water to flow out. Ensure the drain cap and water plug are protected. The unit should be tilted slightly backward during draining. If the vessel cannot hold all water, block the outlet with the water plug before it overflows.
- Continuous drain: Unscrew the water cap and unplug the water plug. Insert a 0.5-inch OD PVC drain hose 0.3-0.4 inches into the water outlet and connect it to a WC or outdoor drain. The drain hose must be installed when there is no water in the baseplate. For cooling mode, continuous draining is generally not recommended to maximize cooling effects, as it uses water for condenser radiation. The drain hose should be placed in an inaccessible location, not above the water outlet, and kept free from flexure. The drain cap and water plug must be kept properly when continuous drain is used.
Maintenance Features:
Before any maintenance or servicing, turn off the power and unplug the unit.
- Surface cleaning: Clean the unit surface with a soft, wet cloth. Avoid chemical solvents like alcohol or gasoline, as they can damage the surface and the unit.
- Cleaning of the filter frame and filter mesh: Clean the filter mesh every two weeks. If clogged with dust, the air conditioner's function may decrease. To clean, gently remove the evaporator and condenser filter frames, then the filter meshes, by holding their gripping positions and pulling in the direction of the arrow. Avoid twisting or damaging the frames or meshes. Wash them in warm water (around 104°F) with neutral cleaner and dry them in the shade. Do not damage the mesh fabric.
- Installation of the filter frame and filter mesh: When reinstalling, ensure the filter mesh is inserted first, pointing its back end toward the socket, then gently pushed into place. The filter frame is then installed, pointing its back end toward the socket and gently pushed into place. The filter mesh must be installed correctly before the filter frame can be installed.
- Cleaning of the handle position and remote control storage area: Remove the remote control from its storage area. Clean the handle position and storage area with a wrung-out wet soft cloth, ensuring no water drips into the unit. Reinsert the remote control in the reverse direction of removal.
End of Season Storage:
For end-of-season storage, unscrew the drain cap, unplug the water plug, and drain all water from the tray. The unit's tilt angle should not exceed 30 degrees. Start the unit in low fan speed air supply mode for half a day to dry the interior and prevent mold. Turn off the unit, unplug the power plug, wrap the power cord around the wire-winding post, insert the plug into the universal jack at the back shell, and install the water plug and drain cap. Remove the heat exhaust hose assembly and store it properly. To remove the hose, hold the C-shape buckle, pull it outward evenly, rotate it clockwise until it separates from the snap position, then take out the assembly. Pack the air conditioner in a soft plastic bag, store it in a dry place with appropriate dust-proof measures, out of reach of children. Remove the batteries from the remote control and store them properly, ensuring all accessories are protected.
