Base Component Removal and Installation
FLOAT AND FLOAT SWITCH INSTALLATION
After installing the float and float switch, install:
Lower front cover
Kickplate
Door panel
INSTALL THE FLOAT AND FLOAT BRACKET
Place the float on the floor of the unit.
TIP: The tab on the center of the float faces
upward.
Place the float bracket over the float.
Use a
3
/
8
" combination wrench to install the nuts onto
the float bracket.
Connect the wire connector to the float switch.
Install the wire harness into the float bracket's wire
retainer.
DOOR ADJUSTER BLOCK REMOVAL
WARNING
Disconnect the product from the power source
before starting this procedure.
To remove the door adjuster block, first uninstall the unit.
Then, remove:
Door panel
Kickplate
Lower front cover
Before working with the door adjuster block, use a power
tool to turn the door tension screw counterclockwise, fully
releasing the door tension.
REMOVE THE DOOR ADJUSTER BLOCK
Use a
3
/
8
” combination wrench to remove the nuts
from the door adjuster cover.
TIP: One of the door adjuster cover nuts also
secures the float switch bracket. It is possible to
remove the door adjuster cover without removing
the float switch bracket by rotating the float
switch bracket out of the way.
CAUTION
The door adjuster cover is under spring
tension.
Use a

/
2
" socket to unscrew the door adjuster bolt.
Use a
3
/
8
" combination wrench to remove the nuts on
the rear pulley cover.
Remove the rear pulley cover.
Disconnect the door tension cables from the springs
on the sides of the unit.
Pull the door tension cables to the front of the unit.
Remove the door adjuster block from the unit.
CAUTION
When the door adjuster block is removed,
the door will fall freely if the latch is not
secure.
