How to fix a Craftsman Pressure Washer engine that won't start or runs rough?
- AAdrian BentleyAug 7, 2025
If the engine of your Craftsman Pressure Washer will not start, or starts and runs roughly, check these items: 1. Make sure the air cleaner is not dirty, and clean or replace it if it is. 2. Ensure the fuel tank is filled with fuel. 3. If the fuel is stale, drain the fuel tank and fill it with fresh fuel. 4. Verify the spark plug wire is connected to the spark plug, and connect it if it is not. 5. If the spark plug is bad, replace it. 6. If there is water in the fuel, drain the fuel tank and fill it with fresh fuel. 7. If the engine is overchoking, open the choke fully and crank the engine. 8. If the fuel mixture is excessively rich, contact Sears service facility.
