Removing and Installing Tines (Fig.G)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An
accidental start‑up can causeinjury.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, always wear gloves to protect your hands
when touching tines. Tines are sharp.
NOTE: The tines should be removed and cleaned after each
use.
1. Remove the battery pack from the appliance. Place
appliance on a flat level surface.
2. Wearing gloves, clear away any excessive debris or dirt
from the tines

and tine shaft with a screwdriver or a
stick.
3. Wearing gloves, remove the clip pin

from each end of the tine shaft

4. Wearing gloves, slide the tines off the tine shaft.
5. Clean the tine shaft of any dirt with a damp rag and allow
to dry.
6. Wearing gloves, clean the tines of any dirt with a damp
rag and allow to dry.
7. The tines are keyed and only correctly install one way
so that the hole for the clip pin is exposed as shown in
Fig. G.
8. Wearing gloves, slide the clean and dried tines onto each
side of clean and dried tine shaft.
9. Wearing gloves, install the washer and then the clip pin
on each side of the tine shaft.

Wall Mounting
Some CRAFTSMAN chargers are designed to be wall
mountable or to sit upright on a table or work surface. If wall
mounting, locate the charger within reach of an electrical
outlet, and away from a corner or other obstructions which
may impede air flow. Use the back of the charger as a
template for the location of the mounting screws on the wall.
Mount the charger securely using drywall screws (purchased
separately) at least 1” (25.4mm) long, with a screw head
diameter of 0.28–0.35” (7–9mm), screwed into wood to an
optimal depth leaving approximately 7/32” (5.5 mm) of the
screw exposed. Align the slots on the back of the charger
with the exposed screws and fully engage them in theslots.
NOTE: Do not attempt to mount CMCB101 charger under a
bench ortable.
NOTE: Only mount CMCB101 charger with the charging
lights pointed upward toward theceiling.
VersaTrack™
WARNING: Do not charge batteries while charger is
hung onTrackwall.
CRAFTSMAN chargers, except the CMCB101, can be
stored on CRAFTSMAN VersaTrack™ Trackwall. Hooks and
accessories are sold separately. Please refer to the VersaTrack™
Trackwall accessory sheet for furtherinformation.
NOTE: The CMCB101 charger is not CRAFTSMAN VersaTrack™
Trackwallcompatible.

c. If charging problems persist, take the tool, battery
pack and charger to your local servicecenter.
4. You may charge a partially used pack whenever you
desire with no adverse effect on the batterypack.
Charger Cleaning Instructions
WARNING:Shock hazard. Disconnectthe charger
from the AC outlet before cleaning. Dirt and grease
may be removed from the exterior of the charger using
a cloth or soft non‑metallic brush. Do not use water or
any cleaningsolutions.
