  When dealing with down or lodged crops, try these steps: * Gradually move the reel ahead to achieve the best feeding. * Gradually increase the reel speed to achieve the best feeding. * Gradually adjust the airflow forward to assist the reel in lifting the crop. * Gradually increase the air volume as needed. * Adjust the tine angle back one tooth at a time to achieve the best feeding.

  If the crop isn't feeding head first, gradually increase the reel speed and gradually increase the airflow to tilt the head of the crop towards the header.

  If you notice a build-up of crop on the sickle, gradually adjust the airflow to the middle of the sickle. Also, gradually increase the air volume until crop flow is achieved.
