How to troubleshoot Crathco 3311 Freezer that won't run or freeze?
    • S
      Susan JonesAug 17, 2025
If your Crathco Freezer machine won't run or freeze, first ensure it's properly plugged in and the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Check that the machine isn't in CLEAN or OFF position. Make sure the condenser airflow isn't obstructed, allowing at least 6 inches of space on both sides. Verify the compressor is working and the dasher is installed. A low refrigerant charge could also be the culprit, so check for leaks and recharge if necessary.

What to do if Crathco Freezer product will not dispense?
    • M
      Matthew HuertaAug 22, 2025
If your Crathco Freezer product will not dispense, first ensure the power switch is turned ON and that the hopper is adequately filled. Check if the consistency adjuster is set too firm and readjust it if necessary. Also, inspect the carburetor inlet hole for clogs and clear them. A broken or dislodged drive belt, worn drive shaft, or drive motor failure could also be the cause. Repair or replace the affected components as needed.

Why is the product from my Crathco 3311 too stiff?
    • P
      Phillip JohnsonAug 25, 2025
If the Crathco Freezer product is too stiff, try readjusting the consistency setting or switching to the red spring. It could also be due to a low product BRIX level, so increasing it may resolve the issue.

    Rose MooreAug 27, 2025
Why is my Crathco 3311 Freezer making a clicking sound?
    • J
      Jo SmithAug 28, 2025
A clicking sound from inside the Crathco Freezer usually indicates low voltage or the use of an extension cord. Try using a dedicated circuit with the proper rating or connecting the freezer directly to the power source using a power cord of the correct size.

    Dr. Chad CohenAug 30, 2025
Why is my Crathco 3311 leaking from the drain tube?
    • W
      Wendy NguyenAug 30, 2025
Leakage from the drain tube at the front of the Crathco Freezer above the drip tray is often due to a worn or defective shaft seal, or the seal was installed incorrectly. Consider replacing the seal and lubricating it at each cleaning, or removing and reinstalling the seal.

What causes excessive dispensing valve leaks in Crathco Freezer?
    • S
      Shannon CunninghamSep 2, 2025
Excessive dispensing valve leaks in your Crathco Freezer are likely caused by worn or defective O-rings. Replacing and lubricating them should solve the problem.

Why is my Crathco 3311 making a thumping sound?
    • L
      lambertshaneSep 5, 2025
A thumping sound from inside the Crathco Freezer suggests a worn belt. Replacing the belt should resolve this issue.
  • R
    Rebecca FoxSep 7, 2025
Why does my Crathco 3311 make a scraping sound during freeze down?
    • M
      Melissa MillerSep 7, 2025
A scraping sound during freeze down in your Crathco Freezer is typically caused by frozen product scraping off the cylinder walls or the absence of product in the machine. If it's due to frozen product, the sound should disappear once the product reaches the correct consistency. If there is no product, fill the machine.
  • L
    Lauren SullivanSep 10, 2025
Why does the merchandiser light flicker on my Crathco 3311 Freezer?
    • G
      garrett80Sep 10, 2025
If the merchandiser light flickers when the Crathco Freezer cycles, it's likely due to low voltage. Connect the freezer to a dedicated circuit with the proper rating.
  • J
    Jesus WhiteSep 10, 2025
Why is the product from my Crathco 3311 too soft?
    • C
      Christy ZimmermanSep 12, 2025
If the Crathco Freezer product is dispensing too soft, you may need to readjust the consistency control. If it's already at the maximum (red spring), try changing to the yellow consistency spring. High BRIX levels in the liquid product or excessive alcohol in the mix can also cause this issue, so lower both accordingly.
