Overview

This document serves as the user manual for the CROWNFUL Air Fryer, model AF-E6007, providing comprehensive instructions for its operation, maintenance, and safety. The air fryer is designed for household use, offering a healthier alternative to traditional deep frying by utilizing rapid air technology to cook food with little to no oil.

Function Description

The CROWNFUL Air Fryer is a kitchen appliance that uses hot air circulation to cook food, resulting in crispy textures similar to deep-frying but with significantly less fat. It features a digital touch control panel for easy operation, allowing users to set precise temperatures and cooking times. The appliance includes a basket and a frying tray where ingredients are placed for cooking. Hot air is drawn in through an air inlet and expelled through air outlet openings, ensuring even cooking.

The air fryer offers eight preset functions for common dishes such as chicken legs, steak, fish, cake, pizza, sausage, chips, and bacon, simplifying the cooking process. Users can select these functions via the menu button or manually adjust the temperature and time to suit their specific recipes. The temperature control range is between 180°F and 400°F, adjustable in 5°F increments. Cooking time can be set from 1 to 60 minutes, adjustable in 1-minute increments.

A notable feature is the "Shake Reminder," which appears halfway through the cooking time for certain presets (Default, Chicken leg, Steak, Chips, and Bacon mode). This reminder prompts users to shake or flip the food to ensure even cooking and crispier results. The air fryer will beep three times, and "((SHAKE))" will blink on the display. If the basket is not removed, the reminder will continue to blink until the cooking process is complete. The cooking process automatically pauses when the basket is removed and resumes once it is replaced.

The appliance also incorporates an automatic switch-off function. It will automatically shut down when the countdown reaches zero. Users can also manually turn off the appliance by pressing the power button, after which the fan will continue to flash for 20 seconds to cool down the unit.

Usage Features

To use the air fryer, first ensure it is placed on a horizontal, even, and stable surface. Connect the mains plug to an earthed wall socket. Pull out the basket, place the ingredients inside, and then slide the basket back into the air fryer. It's important not to exceed the MAX indication in the basket to ensure optimal cooking quality. The pan should not be filled with oil or any other liquid, as the appliance operates on hot air.

After placing the ingredients, press the power button to turn on the display. The unit will default to 375°F and 15 minutes cooking time. Users can then select a preset cooking program using the menu button or manually adjust the temperature and time. Pressing the start/pause button initiates the air frying process. The temperature and time can be customized at any point during cooking.

For ingredients that require shaking halfway through cooking, the Shake Reminder will activate. Users should carefully pull out the pan, shake or flip the food, and then slide the pan back into the air fryer. The appliance will pause cooking automatically when the basket is removed and resume when it's reinserted. It's advised to avoid shaking for longer than 30 seconds to prevent the air fryer from cooling down excessively.

Once cooking is complete, the machine will emit five beeping noises as an ending alarm. The heating element stops, but the fan continues to run for about 20 seconds to dissipate hot air for safety. Users should pull out the pan and place it on a heat-resistant holder. If the food is not cooked to satisfaction, the pan can be slid back in, and the temperature and timer adjusted for further cooking.

When removing foods, especially those with excess oil (like beef, chicken, or meat), tongs should be used to pick them out to avoid spilling collected oil. For foods with no excess oil (like chips or vegetables), the unit can be turned off, and the contents poured into tableware. For large or fragile items, tongs are recommended for removal.

The air fryer can also be used to heat foods by setting the temperature to 375°F for up to 10 minutes. Instructions are also provided for making homemade fries, including peeling, slicing, washing, drying, cutting, oiling, and frying the potatoes.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning is essential for maintaining the appliance. The air fryer should be cleaned after every use. Before cleaning, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely. Removing the basket helps the fryer cool more quickly.

The basket and frying tray should be cleaned with hot water, dishwashing liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. These parts are dishwasher-safe. For stubborn dirt, the pan can be filled with hot water and dishwashing liquid, and the pan and basket allowed to soak for about 10 minutes.

The outside of the appliance can be wiped with a moist cloth, and the inside cleaned with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge. The heating element should be cleaned with a cleaning brush to remove any food residues. It is crucial not to use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials on the basket, frying tray, or the inside of the appliance, as this can damage the non-stick coating. The housing should not be immersed in water or rinsed under the tap due to the electrical and heating components.

For storage, ensure the appliance is unplugged and thoroughly cooled down. All parts should be clean and dry before storing.

The manual also includes troubleshooting tips for common issues such as the air fryer not working, foods not being well fried or fried unevenly, snacks not being crispy, difficulty sliding the basket, and white smoke emission. Solutions range from checking the plug and adjusting temperature/time to shaking food, using appropriate ingredients, and proper cleaning.

The CROWNFUL Air Fryer is designed to comply with all standards regarding Electro-Magnetic Fields (EMF), ensuring no harm to the human body under proper handling. It is important to save the manual for future reference.
