Install the brake pad (piston side)
(1) with insulator and pad shim.
Align the projection (a) on the piston
side of the brake pad with the
groove in the caliper piston.
6.
Install the brake pad holding bolts.
17Nm (1.7 m · kg, 12 ft · lb)
Installing the Rear Brake Caliper
1.
Install the brake caliper with the
mounting bolts.
40Nm (4.0m · kg, 29 ft · lb)
Brake hose (1)
Copper washers
Union bolt (2)
48Nm (4.8m · kg, 35 ft · lb)
2.
Tighten the union bolt while holding
the brake hose as shown in this
illustration.
3.
Bleed the brake system:
4.
Check for proper brake fluid level in
the reservoir.
Above the minimum level
mark.
5.
Adjust the parking brake cable free
play.
