Assembling the Water pump
1.
Install the oil seal (1) using a socket
of the correct size (3) into the water
pump housing (2). Use coolant as a
lubricant for installation.
2.
Install the water pump seal (1) into
the housing (2) using a mechanical
seal installer (3) and water pump
seal installer (4). Do not lubricate
this seal with oil or grease. Use
the special tool.
3.
Install the rubber damper (1) and
rubber damper holder (2) into the
impeller using tap water or coolant
as a lubricant. Make sure the rubber
damper and holder are flush with
the impeller.
