Throttle Control Lever

IMPORTANT:Whenoperating

engaged,throttlecontrollever
mustalwaysbein the FAST
(rabbit)position.
Choke Control
Thechokecontrolknobis located
on the lowerleft sideof thedash
panelandisactivatedbypulling

outward,Activatingthe chokecontrolclosesthe choke
plateon the carburetorandaids in startingthe engine,
Brake Pedal
Thebrakepedalis locatedatthefrontoftherightrunning
boardandisusedforquickstops,or settingtheparking
brake,Thispedalmustbe FULLYdepressedto activate
thesafetyinterlockswitchwhenstartingthetractor.
Parking Brake Lever
NOTE:Theparkingbrakemustbe setif the operator
leavestheseatwiththe enginerunning;otherwisethe
enginewillautomaticallyshutoff, h._,._
• Tosetthe parkingbrake,fullydepress
thebrakepedaland pushthe bottom
of parkingbrakeleverinward, Seethe
imagetotherightfor parkingbrake
identification,Holdtheleverin while
removingyourfootfromthebrake
pedal,Bothparkingbrakeleverand
brakepedalwillstaydepressed,
• Toreleasetheparkingbrake,depress
thebrakepedalslightly,Theparkingbrakeleverwill
thenreturnto itsoriginalposition,
IMPORTANT:Alwayssetthe parkingbrakewhenleaving
thetractorunattended.
PTO (Blade Engage)
Control Switch
ToengagetheelectricPTOand
providepowertothecuttingdeck,
pulloutwardonthePTOcontrol
switchknob.Pushthe switchknob
inwardto disengagethe PTOand
stopthecuttingdeck.
NOTE: ThePTOControlSwitch
mustbe inthe disengaged(OFF)
positionwhenstartingthe engine,

usedtostartandstopthe
engine,Itisalsousedto
activatethe REVERSE
CAUTIONMODE.Insert
keyintothekeyswitch
moduleand

positiononceenginehas
started.

Drive Pedal
Thedrivepedalislocatedontherightsideof thetractor,
alongtherunningboard,Depressthe upperportionof
thedrive pedalforwardtocausethe tractorto travel
forward,Depressthe lowerportionofthe drive 41.
pedalwiththeballofyourrightfoot (NOTyour
heel)tocausethetractortotravelin reverse,
Groundspeedisalsocontrolledwiththedrive
pedal,Thefurtherforwardor rearwardthatthe
pedalispivoted,the fasterthetractorwill travel.
Thetractorwill slowandthe pedalwill return
to itsoriginalpositionwhenthepedalisnot
depressed,
__lb ARNING:Nevermovethe key into
theStart position whilethe engineis
running.Doingso maycausedamageto
yourengine'sstarter.
12V Power Outlet
The12Vpoweroutletis locatedbelowthe chokecontrol
ontheleft sideof the dashpanel.It isusedforthe
convenienceof pluggingin accessoriesthatrequirea
powersourcewitha maximumloadof5 arnpsat 12volts,
