Measure resistance between: Verify values: Adjust:
U29 pin 3 and GND 2.2 – 2.4 K ohm VR6 for 2300 Ohm
U29 pin 5 and GND 2.2 – 2.4 K ohm VR7 for 2300 Ohm
U30 pin 1 and 2 2.6 – 2.8 K ohm VR8 for 2700 Ohm
U30 pin 6 and 7 1.7 – 1.9 K ohm VR9 for 1800 Ohm
U41 pin 1 and 2 1.6 – 1.8 K ohm VR4 for 1700 Ohm
U41 pin 6 and 7 1.6 – 1.8 K ohm VR3 for 1700 Ohm
U41 pin 10 and GND 4.3 - 4.7 K ohm VR5 for 4500 Ohm
U41 pin 12 and GND 1.5 – 1.7 K ohm VR2 for 1600 Ohm
To perform operational adjustment of the System Controller Module it is necessary to operate the
Transmitter as follows:
The System Controller Module is pulled out of the Transmitter rack cabinet to gain access to
subassemblies.
All Control connections and the RF drive signal connection from the T-4180 are in place to permit
normal operation of the Transmitter.
The Transmitter is terminated in a 50 Ohm Load/Attenuator with a wattmeter inserted between the
RF output connector and the load.
A variable attenuator (0.1 dB resolution) is inserted in the RF drive input connection between the
T-4180 and the System Controller.
