SETTING UP & FILLING
Step 1. Insert the power plug into a correctly installed power socket. Make sure that it is
also easily accessible.
Step 2. Set up the kettle power base on a dry, level, firm and heat-resistant surface. If
placing kettle under kitchen cabinets allow sucient space above the kettle, atleast
10 inches above the pouring spout for hot steam to disperse so rising steam does not
cause any damage. Be careful also not to point the spout against another appliance or
kitchen wall.
Step 3. To fill the kettle, first take o the lid by pressing down on the button on top of
the lid. Pressing the button will release a knob handle which you can then use to pull
the lid o (see Figure 1). Once the lid has been removed, pour water directly into the
kettle then put the lid back on (see Figure 2).
Important: When filling the kettle, make sure to fill the kettle with
water between the MIN. and MAX. levels. The kettle will switch o
automatically if there is insucient water. If the kettle is filled above
the MAX. marking, water may splash out during the boiling process.
